The New York City Ballet is a balletgroup founded in 1948 by choreographer George Balanchine and Lincoln Kirstein. It was the first ballet group in the United States to have two permanent seats: one on the Lincoln Center's New York State Theater and another at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center, in Saratoga Springs.Some of the Performers are Hannah Williamson, Erin Jenne, Brady-Anne Sumrow, and Katie Elites.
The New York City Ballet has employed many great performers since its formation, including Edward Villela, Melissa Hayden, Suzanne Farell, Allegra Kent, Tanaquil LeClerq, Darci Kistler, Peter Martins and Mikhail Baryshnikov.
