Confederations Cup

The Confederations Cup is an association football tournament for national teams, held every two years by FIFA. It is contested by the winners of each of the six continental championships, with one or more other teams invited to make up the numbers.

The 2003 tournament was marked by tragedy when the Cameroon player Marc-Vivien Foé collapsed and died during the semi-final against Colombia.
