CONCACAF (the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football), also known as The Football Confederation, is the continent-wide governing body for association football in North America. Three South American entities, the independent nations of Guyana and Suriname and the Frenchdépartement of French Guiana, are also members. CONCACAF was founded in its current form in 1961, and is one of the six continental confederations allied to FIFA.
