The Age The Age broadsheet daily newspaper in Melbourne , Australia that was founded on October 17 , 1854 , and is published by The Age Company Ltd, a subsidiary of John Fairfax Holdings Limited , the group also responsible for The Sydney Morning Herald The Canberra Times The Dominion Post The Australian Financial Review .
