Wallpaper

Wallpaper is material which is used to cover and decorate the interior walls of homes, offices, and other buildings; it is one aspect of interior decoration. "Stealth wallpaper" has been developed by BAE Systems to prevent electronic eavesdropping on Wi-Fi and LAN systems, although this product is not yet commercially available.

Wallpaper is also an image used as a background on a computer screen, usually for the desktop of a graphical user interface. Some images are made at popular screen resolutions specifically to be used as wallpaper, but smaller images can be tiled, and larger images can be resized or cropped. Most wallpaper is either a cartoonish drawing or an abstract pattern with complex gradients. Both types are likely to have areas of relatively solid color, so that iconss can be clearly seen. Although many desktop computers come pre-packaged with selectable wallpapers, additional wallpapers are not only relatively easy to make, but can be easily downloaded from sites specifically catering to such an interest.

Wallpaper is also the title of an influential glossy magazine focussing on travel, design, entertaining, fashion and media. It is at the forefront of international oriented stylish publications.
