The Waves

The Waves, first published in 1931 is perhaps the most experimental novel of Virginia Woolf. Its form consists of six Interior Monologues of the six characters of the novel: Bernard, Louis, Neville, Jinny, Susan and Rhoda; as well as one narrator who describes a sunrise at a beach, in a narrative line completely seperate from that of the six characters.
