Browser

A browser is a piece of software that can look around in an information system. Most of the time people actually mean web browser when they say 'browser'. Other browser types include a help browser. However, to avoid confusion, most of the time when something can be called a 'browser' a synonym is used.

Browser also refers to large herbivores whose nutrition generally comes from high growing plants, like trees, rather than grazers who eat from the ground.
