Spam typically refers to any of the following:

SPAM - a brand of canned meat sold by Hormel
Spam (Monty Python), a comedy sketch involving this meat, which in turn gave rise to the phrase:
Spamming - unsolicited electronic messages, such as spam (e-mail);

Others uses of the term include:

A character from the Tolkien parody Bored of the Rings.
Any of a number of fanzines and magazines of the same name such as Spam magazine, published in the mid-1990s in Houghton, Michigan.
