MarchingMarching (drill) refers to the organized and uniformed rythmic "walk" often associated with military troops. Groups that also utilize marching include military, marching band and, ROTC. In most of the aforementioned cases, marching utilizes a system of drill commands.
While marching, individuals are required to main their dress, cover, interval, and distance.
Dress - Alignment with the person to the side; Cover - Alignment with the person in front; Interval - Space between the person to the side; Distance - Space between the person in front.
Marching is also called "walking at the position of attention"
